The chance to write THE SCREENWRITERS came as a complete surprise to Rikki Elizabeth Stinnette. She was interning with Advent Film Group during her “gap year” between high school and college. At 20 years old, Rikki had been writing screenplays for five years. At a staff meeting, Advent founder George Escobar told about producing a high-quality, student-made film about a couple of screenwriters in old Hollywood who have to write a script in 24 hours...

Tinsel town (Los Angeles) in the 1940's was a haven for creative talent, drawing thousands of aspiring actors, actresses, writers, musicians, singers, and dancers hoping to make it big in the movies. In the 1940s and 1950s, Bunker Hill was a popular film setting, especially in the film noir genre. Its hillside apartments, flophouses could be portrayed as 'mean-looking' streets. Or, it could be the enclave of the wealthy because of its grand Victori...

This is pretty much the entire movie set for THE SCREENWRITERS, with the exception of a hallway. Both sides of the door were used to depict four different offices. Each office was redressed with a different set of furniture, props, pictures, and posters. Our construction team was led by Thomas Cook.
